The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation would like to thank everyone that contributed to the great time at the Wisp Resort at the Eastern Regional Championships.
We raised over $500.00 on the Beads for B.A.A.R.K. program to help get everyone in the mood for the Mardi Gras theme social event held on Friday night.
The tables were decorated with party hats, glow sticks and confetti to really give that party atmosphere. People came in their beads and full blown costumes to get the party really started. With the Cajun music playing we enjoyed a wonderful meal with great friends and we also made new friends too. To bad we don’t know who they were since they were in masks.
After dinner the festivities began with a costume contest and limbo contest. Let me tell you, I had no clue anyone could get that low under the bar and still move. Congratulations Ashley on a job well done that was truly amazing!
Erin Owens from Palmetto DockDogs offered up her hand painted Mardi Gras beads to be auctioned off. After heated bidding, Bill Johnson came out the winner and will be wearing the beads for a long time to come. Thank you Bill for all your support!
The elusive X large Regional Championship shirt that everyone wanted was donated by Josh and went for $130.00 to Deb Harris. The profit on this was split between B.A.A.R.K. and Team 21. Thank you Deb!
Jay donated one of his shirts and that again brought out a bidding war with Bill Johnson again the winner.
As I said at the social just while I was at Wisp 2 additional requests came in asking for assistance. Without your help and support within our DockDogs community we would not be able to help those in need that are also part of our family. Thank you for opening up your hearts and wallets!
Thank you everyone that helped make this evening a wonderful event and making it possible for us to help those on need!
If you didn’t get a chance to donate you can still do so now by going to http://baarfoundation.wpengine.com/donate-now/ or you can still donate to your favorite team in the Jump-A-Thon listed below.
If anyone has pictures we want to see them. Don’t forget to like the B.A.A.R.K. Foundation on Facebook and help us spread the word about all the good work we are doing.
